Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredients List
- 1 cup warm water (105 degrees F)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 - 2 1/2 cup of All-Purpose Flour 1 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
Cooking Directions
Preheat
1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. Put your pizza stone in the oven while it is preheating for at least 10 minutes so the stone can get hot.
Make Dough
2. Combine warm water, yeast and sugar into a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
3. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes, until bubbles and froth forms.
4. Mix in the olive oil
5. Add 2 cups of flour and the salt and mix with a spatula to form a ball. If the dough is too sticky to work with add more flour as needed to form the ball/
6. Transfer to a floured surface and knead into a smooth dough, adding up to 1/2 cup of flour if needed.
Optional. Cover the bowl with a damp tea towel and let the dough rise for 10 minutes or until 1 hour maximum
Assemble the pizza
7. Roll the dough into your desired shape and thickness and put it on a piece of parchment paper
8. Add pizza sauce, cheese and toppings to your liking
9. Transfer the pizza to your preheated pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bottom of your crust is golden brown
10. Remove the pizza from the oven and put it on a wire rack to cook for 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving
